Challenges

Due to pressure from debris clogged in the return line, the pipe ruptured, releasing 150 gallons of diesel from the backup generator into the maintenance closet. This spill gradually traveled down through the floor into the 1st level of the parking garage underneath. The spill needed immediate containment to prevent from traveling down drains to other areas of the facility.

How We ACE’d It

After receiving the emergency call on our 24/7 service phone line, the ACE Team was onsite within the hour to immediately contain the spill, identify the source and instantly begin cleanup. Absorbents, spill pads and boom were strategically placed to prevent further spread, while our high-powered Vacuum Truck, parked outside, ran 150’ of hose down two flights of stairs to the immediate area so the ACE team would begin liquid extraction.
