Challenges
Waterjet cutting machines have catch tanks designed to capture debris and various other particles during the cutting process. Overtime, these tanks fill up and produce substantial amounts of heat that can warp the material that’s being cut. This causes potential for the cut material not meeting quality standards and being discarded. The residual material is oftentimes extremely thick, difficult to maneuver and providing a solution that did not directly impact ongoing production was the biggest challenge.
